with no crowds in atleast 10 different breaks in
remote locations, made up of a mixture of both safe
and challenging waves, then Heaven on the Planet is
ideal for you. With Heaven's 15 m surf boat, motor
bikes or car, you can easily get to Inside and
Outside Ekas, the nearby "Southern Reefs", or any
other of the many surf breaks located around Lombok
and West Sumbawa region.
There are limited numbers staying at the property
and Heaven on the Planet is the only resort anywhere
in the area, so you won't get there to find many
full losmens and all the breaks crowded. This means
you feel like you own the break and you can't
imagine how good this feels until you get there.
Your accommodation at Heaven on the Planet overlooks
4 good breaks at Inside Ekas. Just paddle out to
Inside Ekas, you don't need any transport. Or you
can check out both Inside and Outside Ekas in their
boat and experience a classic "Indo" surfing
experience.
Heaven on the Planet is reached easily being only 2
hours by road from the International Airport and/or
Sengiggi, Lombok . Heaven is reached easily by an
International flight from Singapore or as an add on
package to your stay in Bali!
Not much more you can ask for really, an idyllic
location that is perfect for both surfers and
non-surfers alike which is away from your usual
tourist areas of Bali and mainstream Indo!

Dates Open all year round
Food You'll dine above Ekas Bay in the cliff top
restaurant. Sunset is very special, with the last
views being of the sun setting over the surf and bay
with the majestic Rinjani volcano dominating the red
skyline. Arguably better viewing than those "famous"
sunsets in Kuta Bali!
Food
Heaven on the Planet's 4-star chef prepares both
western and local foods from the menu or banquet
style, with a touch of Lombok spice if you want. His
specialty is fresh seafood, cooked over the natural
BBQ. The drinks waiter serves beers, spirits,
cocktails and wines. Genuinely local foods are
available also … including grasshopper (in season)
and other traditional food, known in Indonesian as
makan adat.
On the golden sands of Heaven's Beach, the warung
restaurant serves meals, snacks, sates and drinks.

Breaks Accessed
Outside Ekas
Outside Ekas, a solid left break, is best on high
tide in large swells when a very long, heavy wave
peels over 400-500 m down the reef and barrels in
sections.
The square take-off jacks up into a thick lip, over
deep reef. Outsides also works when the swell is
smaller, particularly around mid tide … a bit peaky
at times, but still fun.
Inside Ekas
Inside Ekas is best known as a left and right hand
peak which breaks in medium and large swells. The
right is a high quality wave, particularly on low
tide, suitable for advanced surfers. The left winds
down the reef at high tide, a softer wave ideal for
the less experienced surfer who wants a classic long
ride. Both short and long boards are suitable on the
left. The ride is longer at Ekas, but the left wave
is like the well-known Grupuk peak, which has
attracted many surfers from all over
Desert Point
Known as one of the best waves in the world on its
day. It will also be one of the longest lefts you'll
ride, barrels most of the way with the end section
growing bigger the further you go!
Kuta region of Lombok
Beautiful section of the coast with towering
headlands offering a variety of left and rights
along the coast to suit all conditions and surfing
abilities. Encompases breaks such as Belongas Bay
and Mawuns
Dive Areas Accessed
Walls of Heaven - Lombok
The Walls of Heaven are a newly-discovered
underwater wonderland, dropping down a steep cliff
to 48 m depth. You'll watch the complex ecology
change as you drift down the wall. This pristine
dive site will become a Marine Reserve, preserving
its underwater splendour.
Central Reefs - Lombok
